Double sided silicone adhesive tape, 3M9731 alternative tape, uses a transparent polyester film (PET) as the substrate, coated on one side with a silicone adhesive exhibiting excellent adhesion to silicone, and on the other side with an acrylic adhesive; the silicone-coated side is laminated with a fluorosilicone release liner, while the acrylic-coated side is laminated with a silicone-oil release liner. 3M9731 double coated tape alternative is deal for attaching silicone rubber elastomers and foam.

What is AB Tape?
AB tape (AB double-sided tape) simply means one double-sided tape with two different adhesives on each side, commonly silicone adhesive on one side and acrylic adhesive on the other.
It features an asymmetric dual‑adhesive structure with silicone adhesive on one side and acrylic adhesive on the other side, using PET as the backing. The silicone side firmly bonds silicone rubber and low‑surface‑energy materials, while the acrylic side provides strong adhesion to metals, plastics, glass and common substrates. Equipped with two different release liners, it offers great temperature resistance, weather resistance, easy die-cutting and residue-free performance, specially designed for laminating and bonding dissimilar materials.
