Waterproof High Voltage Rubber Splicing Self Bonding Electrical Insulation Tape for Cable
Self bonding tape has excellent insulation performance, good mechanical properties, and stable performance. The rubber tape has good dielectric strength and heat resistance, suitable for wire connection and electrical insulation.
High-voltage rubber self bonding tape is also known as: rubber self fusing tape, high-voltage waterproof self-adhesive tape, rubber insulating self-amalgamating tape, rubber waterproof self-adhesive tape, etc. The ingredients are generally divided into: rubber self-adhesive tape, butyl rubber self-adhesive tape, EPR rubber self-adhesive tape, according to the voltage resistance level, it is divided into three types: J-10, /J-20, J-30. The lowest level is 1-6kv, the middle level is 1KV-10KV, and the highest is 10KV-35KV. The temperature resistance is generally 80℃.
It is suitable for insulation protection of 10kv and below voltage wires and cables and intermediate joints, insulation sealing of communication cable joints, and submersible pump cables. It can also be used for pipeline protection, repair, and waterproof sealing. Insulation protection of rubber-plastic cable terminals and intermediate connections with a pressure resistance of 35KV and below, and insulation sealing of communication cable joints;
Applications:
Self bonding rubber tape, also known as self-fusing or self-amalgamating tape, is widely used in electrical, automotive, and industrial applications due to its excellent insulation, sealing, and weather-resistant properties. Unlike traditional adhesive tapes, it bonds to itself when stretched and wrapped, forming a strong, seamless, and waterproof layer.
Self-fusing rubber tape is mainly applicable for insulation, waterproofing, and sealing of cable terminations and intermediate joints under 10KV, with normal operating temperature not exceeding 90°C, and other scenarios.

Key applications include:
Electrical Insulation: Ideal for insulating low- and high-voltage cables, bus bars, and electrical connectors, providing long-term dielectric strength and arc resistance.
Moisture Sealing & Waterproofing: Used for outdoor cable joints, marine wiring, and underground connections to prevent water ingress and corrosion.
Automotive & Aerospace: Protects wiring harnesses, hoses, and fuel lines against vibration, abrasion, and extreme temperatures.
HVAC & Plumbing: Seals pipe joints, fittings, and ducts to prevent leaks and improve durability in heating, cooling, and fluid systems.
Industrial Maintenance: Provides emergency repairs for hoses, pipes, and mechanical components where quick sealing is required.
With its high temperature resistance, UV stability, and solvent resistance, self bonding rubber tape is the preferred choice for engineers, electricians, and maintenance professionals looking for reliable performance in demanding environments.
Usage
Remove the release film of the self bonding rubber tape, stretch it by about 200%, and wrap it in a half – overlap manner on the part that needs insulation or waterproof sealing protection. A layer of PVC adhesive tape needs to be wrapped on the outer layer as a protective layer.
