3M Hot Melt Adhesive 3748 Q is a high-performance, 100% solids thermoplastic hot melt adhesive engineered for demanding industrial assembly and manufacturing environments. Formerly known under the Jet-Melt series, this off-white adhesive is supplied in 5/8 in x 8 in stick format and is designed for use with compatible industrial hot melt applicators to ensure consistent melt flow and controlled dispensing.

Formulated to deliver tough, flexible bonds, this adhesive offers exceptional low-temperature thermal shock resistance, allowing bonded assemblies to withstand rapid temperature changes without bond failure. It provides strong adhesion to polyolefins such as polypropylene, as well as wood, vinyl, electronics components, and a wide range of lightweight substrates commonly used in product manufacturing.

With an approximate 25-second open time, the adhesive allows adequate positioning and alignment before setting, improving assembly efficiency and reducing rework. Once set, it delivers reliable performance with heat resistance up to 175°F (79°C) and good resistance to impact, fuel, and oil exposure. Its non-corrosive formulation makes it suitable for use in electronic and electrical applications, including bonding near copper components.
